Embark on an unforgettable journey with Rutas Misticas Peru. Explore the heart of the Andes on our Full Day Sacred Valley and Maras Moray Tour. This immersive experience begins in the bustling streets of Cusco.

From there, it will take us to the tranquil beauty of the Sacred Valley. It is a region that holds an abundance of cultural and historical treasures. We will traverse ancient paths, discover hidden gems, and immerse ourselves in the mystical allure of this Peruvian paradise.

As we leave the city of Cusco, the once capital of the Inca Empire, our adventure begins. We will set out towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, known in Peru as “Valle Sagrado”.

The scenic drive offers breathtaking views of the Andean landscapes. Here every turn reveals a new vista, each more stunning than the last. Get ready to witness a harmonious blend. We will see natural beauty and ancient Incan engineering, both of which have stood the test of time.

Cultural Tapestry: Chinchero and Maras Moray

Our first stop will be Chinchero, a picturesque Andean village. Here, we will explore its colorful markets and the remains of royal Incan estates. The village is famous for its weaving traditions.

We will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the intricate process of creating beautiful textiles. It is a craft passed down through generations.

Next, we will journey to the enigmatic Salineras de Maras and Moray. Since pre-Inca times, people have used the dazzling expanse of terraced pools at the Maras Salt Mines for salt extraction. The sight of the sun reflecting off these crystalline pools is nothing short of magical.

Then, we will explore the circular agricultural terraces of Moray, an ancient agricultural laboratory. This site, with its concentric terraces descending into the earth, showcases the Incan ingenuity in adapting to their environment. It played a prominent role during the Inca civilization.

Culinary Delights: Urubamba and Beyond

Around midday, we will find ourselves in Urubamba, a town nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley. Here, we will indulge in a sumptuous buffet lunch, sampling a variety of local dishes. The fresh produce of the valley enriches the cuisine in this region. It will offer a delightful culinary experience, ensuring that our taste buds are as stimulated as our minds.

After our lunch stop, our journey continues to Ollantaytambo. This town is an extraordinary living example of Incan urban planning. The fortress of Ollantaytambo stands as a testament to the architectural prowess of the Incas. With its massive terraces and intricate stonework, it captures the essence of Incan ingenuity.

As we climb the terraces, panoramic views of the valley will reward us. This ascent will also provide an insight into the strategic importance of this site in Incan times.

Historical Echoes: Pisac and Return to Cusco

As the day progresses, we will visit Pisac, renowned for its impressive Incan ruins and vibrant market. The Inca ruins of Pisac, perched high on a hill, offer a stunning overview of the valley below. We will explore its temples, baths, and altars, feeling the echoes of history beneath our feet.

Our final stop will be the Pisac market, a bustling hub of colors, textures, and sounds. Here, we will have the chance to pick up unique handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs. These will serve as perfect reminders of our journey through the Sacred Valley.

As the sun begins to set, we will make our way back to Cusco. We will carry with us the memories of a day filled with discovery and wonder. Alongside these memories, we will also hold a deeper understanding of the rich heritage of the Sacred Valley.
